Waterford Seafaring Festival of Music and Song
28th-30th May 2010
2010 has been nominated as the Year of the Seafarer
by the International Maritime Organization to highlight the global contribution that
seafarers make to society and in recognition of the risks that all
seafarers and mariners face in performing their duties in challenging conditions
on the oceans of the world. 
Hooks and Crookes are proud to celebrate our
seafaring heritage here in Waterford by hosting the the Seafaring Festival of
Music and Song over the weekend of 28th-30th May.

There is an art exhibition with a maritime theme on in the Grefriars Art Gallery on over the Festival weekend.

Preparations are now complete for the Seafaring Festival and groups from England, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Norway and Wales are performing at the Festival.
